EBay Has to Pay in Patent Suit (Wired)The online auction house is ordered to pay $35 million to a Virginia man for violating patents he filed before eBay launched. The September 2001 suit accused eBay of using Thomas Woolston's ideas to operate its online auction house without permission or paying him.
